Sales Performance and Market Position

BYD recently revised the Qin L EV lineup in China to stay competitive. Currently, the model is offered in three trims priced from 119,800 to 139,800 CNY.

The Qin family is one of BYD’s best-selling EV lineups, with 732,252 units sold in 2024, accounting for 17.14% of BYD’s total NEV sales.

In August 2025, Qin sales reached 62,561 units, a 16.05% increase from July despite an 11.21% decline year-on-year.

Overall, BYD’s NEV sales abroad in August hit 80,813 units, up 156.95% YoY, and January–August 2025 foreign sales totaled 625,816 units, rising 136.27% compared to last year.

With advanced electric technology, long-range battery capability, and competitive pricing, the BYD Seal 6 EV is poised to capture the Malaysian market and strengthen BYD’s position in the growing overseas NEV segment.
